Overview(Standard colour) Celebrating Menstrual Activists in Nepal is a book featuring 34 interviews with a number of people in Nepal, 28 female and 6 males, who are working to challenge menstrual stigmas and taboos. They do not represent all activists, but all are all working to work towards challenging harmful practices which prevent people from having a dignified menstruation. They have been categorised into sections depending on the main focus of the work that they do, but many cut across these categories. Contemplation and reflections and activities are included after each section, so that the book can be used as an educational tool to break the silence that surrounds menstruation. The sections are products, education, health, grassroots, creative arts and policy, which highlights the many different areas that need to be addressed to promote menstrual equity. Any funds raised from the sale of this book will be donated to Global Action Nepal, a key partner for Dignity Without Danger, which was a British Academy funded research project. The book is also available in Nepal in Nepali. We aim to include it in the 'Resources for Menstruation Education' which are being distributed to help contribute to improving the quality of education on menstruation in schools in Nepal, so that people are empowered with the knowledge needed to be free from menstrual discrimination.
