Author InformationJoy Selak is an author, nonprofit leader and philanthropic advisor in Austin, TX. She is a former Financial Advisor and Vice President with Smith Barney. She holds 4 degrees from Arizona State University, including 2 Master's in English Literature and English Education and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. CeeGee's Gift, a novel, is Joy's second book. 'CeeGee's Gift' began as a one act play, won the San Juan Islands Playwrights Festival and then evolved, and then evolved into this novel. The MS for CeeGee's Gift won the Writer's League of TX award for Best Young Adult Fiction in 2010. Joy has received awards and commendations for her writing.
