Cecile Tormay (1875 - 1937) war eine ungarische Schriftstellerin. Zu ihrem literarischen Werk, für das sie mehrere Auszeichnungen erhielt und sogar für den Literatur-Nobelpreis vorgeschlagen wurde, gehören neben Erzählungen vor allem zwei Romane: Emberek a kövek között (1911) und A régi ház (1914). Beide wurden von Heinrich Horvat ins Deutsche übersetzt: Menschen unter Steinen (1912) und Das alte Haus (1917).
