Brittany Parra has had a passion for writing since she was a young girl. She started writing song lyrics at age 12 as her brother played the guitar. They formed an alternative-rock band and began touring along the west coast. At age 29, Brittany got married and moved to Tennessee to settle down and start a family.Her first born child was diagnosed with high functioning autism at age 3. As he grew, Brittany and her husband noticed their sons deep fascination with dinosaurs and the imaginary land where they roamed. It was hard to communicate with him while in his imaginative headspace. In hopes of establishing better communication, she began to flex her writing muscles, shifting from songs lyrics to children's books.
