Reviews

Praise for Chip Colquhoun: Have been reading this at bedtime to a 9 year old and a 6 year old and they are both loving it, and I am too! Very engaging and accessible. - Kindle Customer of Cambridgeshire Folk Tales for Children Fantastic book, aimed at children but suitable for all ages! - Amazon Customer of Cambridgeshire Folk Tales for Children Great for engaging the children. Even the children who usually don't listen as carefully as some of the others were just totally involved in it. It appeals to lots of different children's interests. - Sarah, teacher of children aged 9-11 at Jeavons Wood Primary School I was particularly impressed, because some of my children are quite young, and some of the stories are quite long, but despite that they were really engaged in them. I think it was a combination of how it was written, and the themes in the stories. - Helen, teacher of children aged 4-6 at Whaddon CE School Praise for Korky Paul: Vivid and wondrous - The Sunday Times Delightfully entertaining - Books for Keeps The pictures, as ever, bristle with an inspired lunacy that 5+ love. - Amanda Craig, The Times

Author Information

Chip Colquhoun began storytelling professionally in 2007, co-founding Epic Tales (formerly Snail Tales) with Amy Robinson. He's since performed in 10 countries, presented Traditional Tales for the Oxford Reading Tree online, performed regularly at Glastonbury Festival, and represented the Roald Dahl Story Museum on ITV. He also wrote the EU's guidance on using storytelling in schools. He lives in Cambridgeshire with his wife Emma and kitten Tito. Pauline is a storyteller from the fishing and farming traditions of North East Scotland. Since 2001, she's been involved in many storytelling events and projects which allowed her to build on her enthusiasm for science, history, and the environment. She was privileged to learn traditional Scottish stories and bothy ballads from Stanley Robertson, and loves sharing them on with schools, care homes, special needs groups, festivals, castles... anywhere there is an audience! Find her at paulinecordiner.co.uk Korky Paul began his career scribbling for an advertising agency in Cape Town. His first illustration job was a book teaching English, then a pop-up called The Crocodile and the Dumper Truck - but it was his work on Winnie the Witch that won the Children's Book Award in 1987 and made him a much-loved figure in the world of children's books. He's since illustrated for Oxford University Press, Penguin, Random House, and others. He lives in Oxford with his wife Susan.
