Pete Ferrari is a US Army veteran, having served with 1st Infantry Division during Desert Storm. After his honorable discharge, he worked as an Electronic Tech for 14 years. In 2003 he was diagnosted with Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease at the age of 38. He wrote his first book about Backpacking with Parkinson's based on his true experiences, first published paperback in Apr, 2010. He subsequently rewrote the first half of the book and released it under the title of: 100,000 Footstep on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail in 2011. He also wrote a short story about a hike up Mt Cascade, (one of the NY 46ers). Published electronically in 2010. His newest book is Caught up in the Storm: The 101st Military Intelligence Battalion in Desert Storm. Published in January of 2012, about his time in Iraq with the US Army. Another upcoming book is about US Army Basic Training
