Author Information

Dr. Maskey is currently the associate professor at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in Delft. He holds a BSc degree civil engineering and MSc and PhD degrees in hydroinformatics and has more than 25 years of experience ranging from post-graduate and graduate level teaching, research supervision, international projects on floods and droughts modelling and forecasting, climate change impacts, and water resources. His hydrological modelling experience includes many major river basins, such as the Aral Sea Basin, Yellow River, Hanjiang River, Red River, Mekong River, Irrawaddy Basin, Koshi River Basin, Bagmati River, Blue Nile, Kilebero basin, Limpopo Basin, Incomati River, Rufiji Basin, Pangani River Basin, Loire River and some other small river basins in Africa, Asia and Europe. He has co-authored 40 peer-reviewed journal papers and book chapters and about the same number of conference papers. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Hydrology (Elsevier).
