Author Information

Willem van Haarlem received his MA in Egyptology at the University of Amsterdam, and in 1991 became the director of excavations at Tell Ibrahim Awad. In 2014 he was awarded a PhD at the University of Leiden. After working with the Allard Pierson for more than 45 years, he retired from his position as Curator of Egyptian Antiquities in 2021.
