"Cat Puss Meow had been in very bad health, along with horrible condition, both mentally and physically when he was blessed with being dumped in front of Hazie's home. The yellow orange, tabby striped tom cat had been beaten and hurt by his previous very mean owners. Being a burden, he'd been knocked around and yelled at before being re-dumped. Actually, Cat Puss had literally been thrown out of the moving pickup truck door. They had not even stopped and set him out, just slowed down and thrown him from the vehicle. Was it a cat? Upon seeing for sure it was an animal, Hazie had jumped down from her silvery white pony. The kind, gentle little girl had carefully approached the skinny sick looking, rough furred yellow orange cat lying in a big soft pile of wintery grass. As she knelt down beside him, the cat was so tried, and sick he had not even been able to do more than a feeble low ""meow""."
