Author Information

I live in a very rural and stunning part of Wales with my family and our beautiful dogs, Cass and Grace. I am an author, illustrator, artist and photographer and am extremely passionate about wildlife, our dogs and birds of prey. The inspiration behind this story comes from some true events. It was inspired by my love of the countryside and our dogs, who came to live with my husband and I upon needing a new home. They are full sisters from the same litter and have always had an exceptionally close bond. As puppies they went their separate ways, only to return to the breeder a year later due to unfortunate circumstances. Their bond is so unique; they are like twins. I can watch them for hours, playing and exploring in the garden. They do everything together and even have the same cheeky characteristics. They are inseparable. I strongly believe fate brought them back together and to us. I would like my stories to help children to become actively involved with preserving wildlife by taking a little time to achieve one or two very basic steps wherever they live. Conservation is close to my heart, and no matter how small the contributions, it all helps to encourage the wildlife to flourish for future generations.
