Overview

This is the only casebook on the market that contains the variety and quantity of cases that will help students master assessment and diagnosis with the DSM-5 and ICD. It is specifically positioned for disciplines that are grounded in a humanistic approach (counseling, social work, counseling psychology) and helps frame working with the medical model that is used in the DSM-5.

Cheree Hammond received a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Virginia and an MA and Ed.S. in Counseling Psychology from James Madison University. A faculty member of Eastern Mennonite University’s Master of Arts in Counseling program for over a decade, Cheree specializes in psychopathology, counseling theories, and mindfulness and psychotherapy, with a focus on Buddhist contemplative theory. When not on the classroom you can find her in the garden, with her husband Scott, adult children, Adriana and Neil, and treasured friends, listening to bird songs and deciding where to plant that next hydrangea.
