OverviewCartelistas...is an ebook that shows and explains the life of three Spanish brothers from Valencia, Spain, militants of the Socialist Youth Union throughout the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Narrated by the son of one of them, this is the biographic, political and professional fate of these brothers involved in the republican war propaganda effort. Posters show some of the war slogans as well as housing, industrial development and monument scale models made under the fascist dictatorship and after their exile in the Americas. Interestingly, pictures of their work are original and not published until now, but they show their masterful skills not only in the graphic arts, but in sculpture, painting and scale modeling. This is also, the story of one of the rare family enterprises (Hermanos Iranzo. Maquetas) organized by marxist Spanish republicans in order to cape with the difficulties of the dictatorship surveillance in Spain and the exile, mostly spent in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico during the Cold War.
