In Carried Through Cancer, Kim Harms shares the stories of women who have gone through difficult physical and emotional events. When you read their stories, you are drawn into their lives. I love Philippians 4:6-7 because it comforts me when I become anxious about life's twists and turns. Jesus tells us many times throughout the Bible that he will be with us, always, wherever we go. Kim reminds us of that truth in her devotional stories. May God be glorified in the sharing."" -- Susan L. Beck, DO, MPH Breast Surgeon and Medical Director, Katzmann Breast Center ""While reading Carried Through Cancer, each devotional made me feel as if trusted friends were holding my hand through an unexpected diagnosis and every stage of treatment. Author Kim Harms deftly tells the stories of cancer survivors who found hope and purpose as they endured surgeries, chemo, radiation, through good test results and bad. Harms doesn't sugar coat the tears, the fear, and the wrestling with faith that are part of fighting cancer. Even so, this devotional is filled with stories of how friends showed up at the hospital to sit beside on chemo days, and of how God showed during sleepless nights filled with doubt to whisper ""Peace, be still, I am with you."" I predict that well-thumbed copies of Carried Through Cancer will soon sit on the nightstand of many who are being treated for or have survived cancer. Furthermore I believe fresh copies will be on countless bookshelves, waiting for their owners to give to friends who will one day receive a cancer diagnosis."" -- Jolene Philo Disability advocate and co-author, with Dr. Gary Chapman, of Sharing Love Abundantly in Special Needs Families: The Five Love Language(R) for Parents Raising Children ""You are not alone, and with God, you can do this. Even still, God's goodness emerges from the cracks and crannies of hearts broken by cancer. His love offers healing and beauty through not only doctors and surgeons but His Word, friendship, and most of all, His unwavering presence.
