OverviewCarpe Diem is the opening novel of the 'K-pop Idol: The Secret Life' series, which chronicles the love relationships of a group of friends, members of two groups under contract with Royal Jewels, a famous entertainment agency. Throughout the saga we'll follow, volume by volume, one of the couples that will be formed, while we'll continue to keep up with those created in the previous novels. The golden and complicated world of Korean entertainment and a large group of friends and various characters will revolve around the main protagonists, coloring the stories with extravagance. There will be no shortage of twists and turns, old and new tragedies, and many unforeseen and unexpected complications in the protagonists' lives. Jenkan, the leader of the K-pop group Steel Boys, meets Sofia in Italy and is enchanted by her beauty and her dancing style. He then decides to approach the girl and propose that she follow him to South Korea to become a backup dancer for his group, and also to consolidate their acquaintance... Sofia, approached by Jenkan, a charming Korean idol, decides to follow him to South Korea to try to make a career leap and also to be able to date him, but when she arrives in Seoul, what she had expected to find is very different from what she finds herself having to face. The dancers of the support group do not want to work with her and her relationship with Jenkan doesn't proceed smoothly as she hoped... Byun, a member of Steel Boys and Jenkan's best friend, falls in love with Sofia at first sight, but he knows that she has moved to Seoul to be with Jenkan, so he tries to stifle his feelings. The relationship between Sofia and Jenkan, however, does not seem all sunshine and rainbows as it may have at first, so when Byun discovers that Sofia's heart is torn, he decides to play a risky card and proposes a dangerous deal to her and Jenkan.
