Overview

Emily is a college beauty course student. Single, attractive, well mannered, curious about the world and living with a promiscuous, overprotective mother in the West Yorkshire city of Thewlington, a less than ideal city that Emily wants out of ASAP. As she goes about her progression through college and work-life she encounters all kinds of characters from the boorish to the compelling, all the while unaware of the dramas of prehistory that occurred on the soil of her home town, and that her life is about to change, for better or worse.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, a former art student and a resident of Leeds, UK, David McGowen never aspired to be a writer, but it was his only effective medium of letting out his ideas. Autistic, writing has helped him through multiple hardships in the past. His first novel, Carnian Street, was written during the COVID-19 lockdowns and is the first in an upcoming series of novels and short stories, all of which are set in the same universe.
