Author Information

Mike Barton is an author and photographer from Solana Beach, California. A native of Michigan, Mike moved to sunny California after graduating from Michigan State and worked as an engineer in the Silicon Valley. Michigan is a great place to be from. Photography became his true passion when he moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1999 where he tried to photograph every square inch of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. And a second career was launched. While I have taken many courses in photography, I have learned a great deal through experience and experimentation. When I return to a location that I have previously photographed, I am always amazed because I usually find interesting compositions that I didn't notice during my first visit. So I always say - my best photo is the next one I take.
