Inspired by her dad, who the main character is based, Jen has launched a new career with these sophisticated kids' books series. Two separate series set in two different local locations in Southern Alabama. Relocating to this beautiful, thriving ecosystem has ignited a creative flame within this young author. Young in terms of author-experience, not in terms of age. Throughout the years, Jen has loved all animals and was known to rescue any critter in need when she was able to help it. Her parents nurtured her love of all things outdoors and coming to the Eastern Shore was the best thing to happen to her. From a chance encounter with a stranger in an airport who said her name would be the perfect author's name to a dear friend suggesting to her to write about her dad shortly after losing him to a short fight with cancer to an epiphany standing on a boardwalk in the middle of a cypress swamp, Jen has found her passion through bringing Captain Steve's adventures to life.
