Author Information

John Laski grew up in Passaic, New Jersey, during the mid 1950s. Following almost eight years of active duty with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, Laski graduated from Salve Regina University with an AS in Criminal Justice, a BS in Organizational Management from Nyack College, and MBA in Finance from St. Thomas Aquinas College, and a Doctorate in Finance with a second specialization in International Management from Nova Southeastern University. Laski has worked in international business with Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing, Marubeni Corporation of Japan, UVA Machine Company a subsidiary of the Norden Group in Sweden, and on Wall Street with Merrill Lynch, Citicorp Investment Services, and Northeast Securities. In his third career, Laski was the founding director of the MBA Program at Nyack College serving also as an Associate Professor of Finance and International Business, and as a Tenured Full Professor of Finance and International Management at New Jersey City University. Laski is a former Battalion Chief of the Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Fire Company, former Commissioner of the Passaic County Planning Board in Passaic County, New Jersey, and has appeared over the years many times in Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in Education. Laski has authored several books, papers and other publications, and was awarded the Passaic County Medal of Honor for his lifesaving rescue of three fisherman on Greenwood Lake, New York. Laski is a Freemason affiliated with St. John's Lodge in Newport, Rhode Island.
