James Qiangwei Xia, Ph.D., is the CEO and principal scientist of CMP Scientific, Corp. in Brooklyn, New York. His current research interest is mainly the electrophoretic separation and mass spectrometric detection of analytes that are relevant to life science and biopharmaceutical industry. More specifically, he is devoted to making capillary electrophoresis - mass spectrometry (CE-MS) coupling technology simpler, faster, and more robust. Lichao Zhang, Ph.D., is the staff scientist of Stanford University, California. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. degree in the area of mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Her current research interest falls into the application of mass spectrometry to the identification and quantification of proteins out of complex biological samples.
