His research interests focus around vaccinology, protein expression, marine viromics, and virus diversity. He has authored two books, co-authored over 120 articles and 19 reviews in peer-reviewed journals, about 20 book chapters, and a number of popular or opinion articles and conference reports. Dr. Rybicki is listed as an inventor on 17 patent families, with around 44 country patents published.
