OverviewI'm a film director / writer / producer and publisher. I've published SPFX (Special Effects Magazine) since 1976. Over the past 45 years I've been collecting candid, behind the scenes photos from science-fiction, horror, fantasy and animation films. I figured it was time to put some of this collection into a few books. I also have many interviews and articles about our favorite actors and filmmakers. In Volume 12: Classic Sci-Fi / Horror 1920-1940 Pt. 2 you'll find science-fiction/horror films from the 1920's to the 1940's. Articles on Making the 1933 groundbreaking Special Effects masterpiece... THE INVISIBLE MAN. And then, the 1940 follow up hit THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS. Effects master JOHN P. FULTON explains how it's done. We have an interview with star GLORIA STUART. And there are plenty of Cool Photos in the Invisible Man SCRAPBOOK. Then we have two articles covering the Making of the 1932 horror classic, THE ISLAND OF LOST SOULS. There is an informative article on the creation of THE PANTHER GIRL CONTEST. H.G. WELLS talks about his books being turned into movies...and he's not happy! ...and more! 8.5x11...Square Bound...140 Pages... with OVER 500 PHOTOS!
