Overview

Consent and respectful relationships education became mandatory across Australia in 2023. This means parents, teachers and students are often learning new concepts about sex, consent, relationships and the digital world. It can mean challenging their own beliefs about gender and sexualities. What are children being taught and why are these lessons important? Blending expertise with anecdotes both heartbreaking and hilarious, How To Have Conversations About Consent With Your Children is a window into what is happening in classrooms and what's going down in schoolyards. This is the first Australian book about abuse prevention, consent and respectful relationships education from the frontline. It is a must-read for any parent who wants to keep these important conversations going at home.\
