Reviews

John Holding's Canadian Manual of International Air Carriage is a slim volume focused on issues related to the carriage of goods and people by aviation companies. If you have ever lost a suitcase on your way back from Cancun and wanted to know what your rights are, this book is for you. Holding explains the conventions and protocols which make up a patchwork of laws in an area made more complicated by the fact that some countries are members of one convention or another or many. The focus is on more of the litigation side of law than the corporate... Holding writes well. His style is clear, straightforward and vigorous, helping the reader to understand the concepts he is explaining. He is clearly well-versed in this area, having practised for many years in the field. - Joan D. Bilsland, Research Lawyer, Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLB, Calgary, Alberta - in the Canadian Law Library Review
