Author Information

Frank Trovato is professor of sociology at the University of Alberta, where he teaches courses in demography and population studies. He is a past president of the Canadian Population Society and is the editor of Canadian Studies in Population, the official journal of the Canadian Population Society. He has written two titles for OUP Canada, Population and Society, 2/e, and Canada's Population in a Global Context, 1/e. Professor Trovato is also active in the population studies community, as a long-standing member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), the Population Association of America (PAA), the American Sociological Association (ASA), and the Canadian Population Society.
