She recently edited a magazine on county government in Jackson, Mississippi. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Paul. Paul C. Barton has covered Bill Clinton for several years, first with the Arkansas Democrat and then with the Arkansas Gazette as Washington correspondent. He most recently covered Mississippi and southern politics for The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal and is now in the Washington Bureau of Gannett News Service.
