Author Kathy Luongo often says she was born with a heart for those living on the fringes of life. The ones frequently cast aside and overlooked by many: junior high kids, incarcerated youth, and special education students. Kathy transitioned from coaching school sports to leading church youth groups and working as a teacher's assistant in special education. Always striving to inspire the best in young people, Kathy recognizes the potential that others may overlook. She has enjoyed a 43-year marriage adventure with her husband, Jim. Her three children and eight grandchildren are the sunshine of her life.
