Catherine Athena headed out from sunny New Zealand and travelled across the world to England seeking adventure, castles and the woodland creatures she loved reading about in 'The Wind in the Willows'. She studied with witches, druids and shamans, was touched by Lightning during a sudden storm and finds enchantment in lonely, windswept landscapes. She loves riding around town on her cornflower-blue vintage bicycle and delights in becoming thoroughly ensconced in mixed-media art making, visual journals and found-poetry collages. . . She can also be found immersing herself in arthouse indie films, earth medicine practices with drum and rattles and capturing the seasons changing with her camera. Her mission is creating beauty & magic in the world. He is of Italian-New Zealand descent and grew up in Sicily, where as a child, he had a spirit-vision of a Jaguar. Patrick's adventures began in Ragusa and the surrounding areas, exploring caves, ancient Greek Temples and forgotten villages. Widely travelled, he has walked the Camino de Santiago several times, including the Camino Francese, Camino Norte, and the Camino Primitivo. He first heard about the Camino de Santiago (and Paulo Coelho's books) from Catherine Athena not long after they met. The photographs included in this Calendar-book are some of the many images he captured on his walks along the Way of Saint James. Patrick has an avid fascination with exploring places and destinations he has never been to before, seeking out the history and story of the land as he goes.
