At the beginning of her career, she won the Drama Medal three times at the Urdd Eisteddfod. She studied a film course at the European Film College in Denmark before returning to Wales and starting to write for radio, theater and television. She won the Tir na n-Og award in 2017 for her first children’s book. She and her husband, Huw Aaron, won the Tir na n-Og award and the Book of the Year award (Children and Young People Category) for the book Dwi Eisiau Bod yn Ddeinosor in 2023.
