OverviewPlease note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Calphalon is a brand of cookware, cutlery, bakeware, and small kitchen electrics. They were acquired by Newell Rubbermaid in 1998. Calphalon produces non-stick coated cookware similar to Teflon and stick-resistant surfaces made of hard-anodized aluminum. Calphalon pans feature either an aluminum core, which provides fast, even heating, or a stamp-forged aluminum disk to provide the additional heat dispersion.Infused anodization is a patented process by which Calphalon places polymers of nonstick between the pores of the cooking and exterior surfaces. This results in a semi-nonstick surface which has heat and scratch resistance. It is possible to use metal utensils on Calphalon One Infused Anodized without damaging the cooking surface. As of 2007, Calphalon is the only company which uses the infused anodized process.
