Katie was inspired to write this book after having her daughter, Callie. Callie never had a chance to meet Katie's father, Larry (the inspiration behind Larry the Lizard). Katie wanted to do something special for Callie, to teach her that her grandpa is always with her on all of life's little adventures. Katie hopes this book can help many other little readers with the loss of a loved one. Katie lives in Grimsby, Ontario, with her husband Andrew and their two children, Callie and Caleb.
