Millions of Christians believe they have been Called to Public Schools to serve as teachers, support staff, administrators, and volunteers. They recognize the flaws of our public education system, but they consider their work in our nation's school as an act of worship and devotion to God. They are ChIPS (Christians in Public Schools). For decades, ChIPS have resisted and opposed Harmful Influences in Public Schools (HIPS) from inside local schools, but they remain unrecognized by our public school system and most churches. Consequently, ChIPS are increasingly caught between the secular and the sacred in the culture wars, so they cannot continue to succeed unseen or unsupported. Called to Public Schools acknowledges and affirms these resolute servants of God, providing Biblical support for their callings, practical strategies to thrive, and encouragement to embrace each other as professionals and believers. ChIPS value prayer over politics and service over activism as they serve in our nation's greatest mission field.
