I dove in on page one, kept reading, and was not disappointed. I found Marlene's courageous journey from her English childhood to committing herself to the Old Order Amish church fascinating and informative. --Kate Lloyd Reviews Marlene Miller's story is among the rarest of spiritual journeys: an English person who became--and remained--Amish. This book is even rarer: a firsthand tale of the trials and joys of nearly fifty years of life as an Amish convert. --Erik Wesner Reviews A rare treat! Marlene C. Miller converted to the Amish after she became a Christian, and her story chronicles her journey of faith and family. Written by a delightful woman, this enjoyable read will overturn many of your perceptions about the Amish. --Suzanne Woods Fisher Reviews For someone who came from a non-Amish culture to write a book about being Amish is quite remarkable. This book will give you insights about the Amish culture because the writer has had decades of real-life experience. It gives details about Amish life that you may not find in any other book on the market. --Anne Beiler Reviews Books written by ex-Amish flood the one-way street out of Amish life. Miller reverses the flow in her enchanting story about entering the Amish world. This easy-to-read, one-of-a-kind story ushers you into the heart of real Amish life with all its joys and tribulations. You won't be able to put it down. --Donald B. Kraybill Reviews A heartwarming story of overcoming obstacles to find faith, love, and a true family. Miller's journey will captivate readers who love the Amish culture and enjoy spending time in the plain community. --Amy Clipston Reviews
