Reviews

"""Called on the Way is a highly accessible invitation to discipleship, with Kathleen Cahalan and Laura Fanucci as gentle and wise guides. The book describes what it means to be a 'called disciple on the way' in clear language, amplified by Scripture, stories of saints, the authors' own narratives, and helpful reflection questions at the end of each chapter. The book brings the authors' many years of work on vocation to a broad audience; this is a faith-filled, intelligent book for individuals or small groups, highly recommended."" Claire Wolfteich, Boston University -- (12/13/2023 12:00:00 AM)"

"""Kathleen Cahalan and Laura Kelly Fanucci offer a comprehensive, practical, and dynamic approach to the components of Christian discipleship. The authors skillfully navigate an area that is often subjected to program development and market trends, instead offering skills for the way of discipleship rooting in Christ's call and the life-long following of His way. This is a text that will be equally effective when read and reflected upon by individuals, parish small groups, or in theology classrooms."" Larry Fraher, PhD, director of faith formation and education at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Scottsdale, Arizona -- (12/14/2023 12:00:00 AM) ""Much pastoral literature on discipleship tends to focus on one dimension of Christian life at the expense of others. Not Called on the Way, which is an integrative initiation into the art of discipleship inspired by a Catholic vision of the world. Each of the chapters witnesses the gift of a relationship with Jesus Christ. The book is practical, but grounded in the fruit of contemplation of the Word of God. I recommend this book for parishes and individuals alike who want to follow the way of Jesus Christ more fruitfully."" Timothy P. O'Malley, Academic Director, Notre Dame Center for Liturgy -- (12/14/2023 12:00:00 AM) ""Called on the Way is a highly accessible invitation to discipleship, with Kathleen Cahalan and Laura Fanucci as gentle and wise guides.
