Table of ContentsReviewsExtremely entertaining. --Hall of Fame forward Rick Barry There are only a little more than 400 players in the NBA at any one time. For the rest of the talented players who come out of the college ranks, there's either the humdrum a real job or the chase for continued hoops glory in pro leagues all over the globe. All too often, the stories of those pursuing basketball careers in far-flung places go untold, though they are packed with as much grit, sacrifice, and hard work as those of NBA All-Stars--and often are every bit as gripping (and sometimes far more hilarious). Bouncing from Holland to Japan to Thailand, with several stops in between, former Penn State star Tyler Smith takes us through his incredible journey. --Sean Deveney, national NBA writer, Sporting News Tyler Smith's globetrotting tale is an entertaining look at life as an athlete on the fringe of his sport. Called for Traveling is a stark reminder of how difficult it can be to keep the dream alive. It is replete with colorful characters and legends of basketball, which play an integral part in why, for some, those dreams never go away. --Kenny Albert, broadcaster, FOX Sports/MSG Network Extremely entertaining. --Hall of Fame forward Rick Barry There are only a little more than 400 players in the NBA at any one time.
