OverviewThis volume describes the excavation and field survey of sites of different periods in the Caldecotte area in south-east Milton Keynes. The sites include Roman pottery kilns, a medieval moated site, brick kilns, and a post-medieval water mill. Each feature is discussed and there are reports on the artefacts, building materials, coins, pottery, and environmental evidence. This is the ninth report from the work of the Milton Keynes Archaeological Unit. It provides a study of the historic landscape of the Ousel Valley to complement the Unit's other work at Great Linford in the Ouse Valley and in the Shenley and Tattenhoe area.
