OverviewWhen you stop visiting your favorite local coffee bar, then you must create the bar in your home. On March 8, 2020, when the Italian government locked down its country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Francesca Bonsi Magnoli reimagined her own coffee counters made from treasured objects and coffee cups collected from her family, friends, and travels around the world. This creative outlet helped her navigate the long days while she and her husband were confined to their home. There is an intimacy to each photograph that invites you to taste and smell a delicious cup of Francesca's Italian espresso. She photographed one scene per day for 40 days and posted them on social media to everyone's delight. Even in times of darkness, simple morning routines can bring us beauty and hope. This book collects them all in one place - along with a few special editions - as we all look back to those early days of lockdown and see how far we have come since then.
