My inspirational idea for Casting Shadows happened on a hot sunny Summer day. While walking along the rocky East bank of the Mississippi river a yellow swallowtail butterfly landed next to me on a smooth stone. She opened her wings casting a shadow, a perfect silhouette. Kendall Bohn is an artist, living and working in Minneapolis MN. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from North Dakota State University and went on to apprentice as a sculptor in New York City. He currently lives and works in Minneapolis, MN where he paints, sculpts and thinks up fun new ideas for his Kaleidoscopia line of coloring books. He has his works in the permanent collection of several institutions including Yale University.
