Overview

Butterfly Grandma: Black Swallowtail! reads like a charming, playful, rhyming conversation between Grandma and grandchild! Last summer, Grandma and grandchild had such fun inviting the monarch butterflies to their yard that they decided to do it again...but this time...they choose the Black Swallowtail butterfly! Can you really choose which butterflies you will see in your yard? Let's find out! This children's book is illustrated by the author's grandchildren. The photographs were taken by the author in her own butterfly garden. This book earned the 2020 Story Monsters Seal of Approval in the Green Living/Environmental Issues category and also is a winner in the 2020 Royal Dragonfly Book Award contest! It is a fun, educational book full of amusing drawings and detailed photographs explaining the life cycle of this butterfly.
