Shirley Spires Baechtold is a writer, musician, and professor emeritus of English at Eastern Kentucky University. She has published a memoir; a historical trilogy about a girl growing up in the forties; and But I Digress, a book of published columns, essays, and Emails sent to 38 friends and family. Now 91, Shirley is scheduling one more Shirley's Last Gig, a musical event entitled All That Jazz. She continues to write and send emails.
