For as long as I can remember, writing and reading has been my release. It has given me a chance to escape into the different worlds created by others and myself. I find that some of the characters I have created have become my friends and I find I can relate to them and think as they do; it makes it easy to write about them. Writing books is not something I find easy. The idea's come easier, but being able to put them into words is hard, I find that as I write I can let it flow from there, and I love to watch the story unfold! I know that some of the greatest works of literature emerged out of hardships, but I also know that great writers can grow as their writing grows. As time goes on, I know I can be the writer I have always wanted to be. I was taught that it is better that your focus in life should not be on where you have been, but on where you are going-and more importantly, where you want to go. I want to be someone who follows her dreams. I am fortunate enough to have self-published my first book on Amazon and feel lucky that in this day and age, we can do this! I do not think my first book is my best, but it is a story I needed to tell and am glad it is out there.
