He has worked as an accountant for over 17 years. He has held several positions in the public and private sector. He has held roles as staff, senior consultant, team lead and supervisor. He received his BS in 1999 from the University of Virginia, with a minor in Religious Studies, got an MBA from the University of Maryland. He is a CPA, CGFM and CGMA. He is an Associate Adjunct Professor at UMUC, teaching classes in federal financial management, taxation, accounting software, and financial systems. He also taught Intermediate Accounting at UVA for several years. Additionally, he teaches at Becker CPA review. He is also a wrestling coach - he has coached High School / Youth wrestling for 17 years, including 15 years at George C Marshall High School in Falls Church, VA. Mr. Kaufman has published several books, including Lessons from the Wresting Mat - Life Lessons from a Quarter Century of Coaching and Competing. He has published other materials, including a letter to the editor in a government accounting magazine and several articles in a state accounting journal.
