Well hello to you my new reader friend! I can only assume your perusal of this section is to help you decide whether this book is worth reading. Right, do settle down and let me tell you about my book. Okay, so, what had happened was, after a burnout in the summer of 2018 at the age of 28, I quit my corporate job as an accountant to fulfill a lifelong dream of taking a travel sabbatical. This book follows my backpacking adventures over a six-month period, between Portugal, Miami, South America and Mexico. Between attempting to save a life in the middle of the night in the Azores, hairy encounters in Colombia, wild nights in Miami and Mexico, struggling to stay sane in hostel dorms full of randy energetic youths, and meeting weird and wonderful people whose stories I share in the book, there is bound to be something you will laugh about as well as things you may strongly relate to. If you're looking for a lighthearted, chatty and humorous adventure book, then you, my dear friend, are in luck. Aside from the occasional bursts of laughter, I hope this book can inspire you to examine what work and life balance means to you, and encourage you to also fulfill whatever lifelong ambition or dream you have. A career is a marathon, not a sprint, and it's okay to occasionally press pause and recharge while figuring out your next move.
