She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Built Environment at the Technology University of Eindhoven, where she studied transportation modeling and urban planning decision systems. Then, she worked at the University of Hong Kong as a postdoctoral fellow. Her work has been published in academic journals such as Transport Geography and Transportation Research Part D.
