Building Up to Love: A Second Chance at Love Novel

Overview

One question is all it takes... Two women from completely different generations happen to meet in the paint aisle of a hardware store. One has been a widow for six years and is trying to get on with her life; the other, is a young upstart, a university graduate, who's trying to get established in the bed and breakfast industry. Ariel Sharpton is fifty-eight years young. For over thirty-five years she's worked as the head sales associate in the paint department at a local hardware store. Widowed since fifty-two, she has been living on her own and... she's starting to feel lonely. Jennifer Kierston, at the young age of twenty-six, watched her mother fight a courageous battle with cancer. During the tragedy her plans to become the owner of a bed and breakfast in the Haliburton Highlands region of Ontario, had to be put on hold for several years. Now, six years later, she's slowly rebuilding her life... and her future. Can a chance meeting in the aisle of a hardware store turn into something more? Can two complete strangers have more in common than the loss of a loved one? Can a still-grieving widow find comfort and companionship with someone younger than her? Can a young woman, building her life and realizing her dream, be surprised at how a friendship begins to blossom when she's asked, ""Is there anything I can help you with?""

Author Information

David was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Combining his passion for geography, travelling to common and out of the way places, and the landscapes seen along the way, he creates journeys for you to follow, the same way his characters do in his novels. Through his writing he creates real-life characters experiencing real-life conflicts, attempting to find happiness and perhaps romance and love while discovering who they are along the way.He currently resides in Durham Region (east of Toronto) with his wife and daughter, two cats, and an aquarium full of fish. When he's not writing about the next fifty-plus characters and researching the places they will be travelling to, he enjoys solving crosswords and working on jigsaw puzzles, reading, biking, roller blading and playing roller hockey. Most of all he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
