He is a registered civil engineer (Zambia), construction manager (South Africa), and a full member of the chartered institute of the building (CIOB-UK) and the International Council for research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB). He has worked for both the public and private sectors in Southern Africa. He is currently a Professor in Construction Project Management, researcher, invited speaker, founder and director of the Centre for applied research and innovation in the built environment (CARINBE) based at the University of Johannesburg. Prof. Erastus Mwanaumo is an esteemed academic and professional in Engineering, Project and Construction Management, has served as the former Vice President for the African region of the Chartered Institute of Building and contributed significantly to research by raising over US$7.6 million in funding. His achievements span supervising a substantial number of postgraduate candidates, delivering speeches globally, consulting for high-profile organizations, and currently serving as an Examiner and Patent Reviewer for the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization.
