Author Information

Richard Sennett is professor of sociology at New York University and at the London School of Economics. Before becoming a sociologist, he studied music professionally. He has received many awards and honors, including the 2006 Hegel Prize for lifetime achievement in the humanities and social sciences. A classically trained actor, director, and teacher with many regional Shakespeare plays to his credit, Danny Campbell has narrated over 150 titles and directed at least that many. He is a multiple AudioFile Earphones Award winner and was named one of AudioFile's Best of the Year 2017.
