Overview

Lindsay is about to build her dream house on the property left to her by her late grandmother. This new house means everything to her, not only because she can finally afford it, but also because she plans to do a lot of the work herself. Growing up she often worked with her dad, a contractor on the Inner Banks of North Carolina. She parlayed her steady hands and sharp mind into a career as an orthopedic surgeon, but she never lost her interest in actually building - with wood, nails, hammers and screws. She wants to enjoy this new vacation home with her fiancé, Wall. He isn't into beach living yet, but Lindsay is sure she can change his mind once the house is completed and she can show him what Hatteras is all about. But soon Lindsay learns that coming in from the ""outside"" isn't as easy as she'd assumed.
