Oscar Pletch (1830-1888) Oscar Pletch was born in Berlin, Germany on March 26th and died in Lower Niederlossnitz (today Radebeul) on January 12th. A student of Ludwig Richter, and trained at the Academy of art in Dresden at sixteen. Awarded to him King Albert of Saxony's title of professor in 1877. With 354 works, 196 in German and 57 in English, he also published in England, France, Sweden and as well as USA and Germany. A well beloved author, illustrator, painter, creator, as well as contributor, correspondent and adapter. Whose work is also in the British Museum.
