Overview

When Buddy the cat is adopted by Sharon and Mike, he joins them at their vineyard home in California. Buddy likes his new surroundings, but he receives unexpected reactions from the animals that already live there: The other cats reject Buddy on the spot. Every time he tries to eat dinner with them, they chase him away. This rejection prompts him to hang out with two dogs, Keegan and Shelby, who generously and lovingly allow Buddy to eat with them and sleep on their bed. One morning, when a big black dog from across the road trespasses onto their property looking for trouble, Buddy the cat lets out the loudest string of barks you ever heard! When the same trouble-making dog returns at a later time, Buddy bravely comes to the rescue of his fellow cats, who then happily accept him as part of their vineyard family.
