He is currently working at the Department of Gastroenterology, General Hospital of Northern Theater Command (formerly General Hospital of Shenyang Military Area) as a vice Chief physician. His major clinical research interests are in the etiology, diagnosis, and management of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension (especially portal vein thrombosis and Budd-Chiari syndrome), and hepatocellular carcinoma.
